The third album by the Brooklyn, New York, salsa jazz band Grupo Latin Vibe. Continuing with
the band's original style "Amanecer" remains loyal to the band's unique style with an amazing rhythm and melody throughout. On
every song of this album the whole band sound like they are so much at ease that you will actually feel it. Singer/conga player
Tito Rivera's velvet voice and Tommy Mattioli caressing the notes on the vibraphone make it the signature of Grupo Latin Vibes.
On "Por Tu Amor"; "Esto Es Amor" and "Acarisiame" there's a declaration of love's in the air, you know... as when you fall
in love! You don't need to understand spanish to feel it - it is in the groove! According to Awilda Santiago (corus and hand
percussion), "Amanecer is a song of praise to the beautiful music and heartfelt rhythms of our (Latin) culture". My favorite
songs are "Ramona, La Bailadora' and "Tu No Vas"; the flirtatious "Olvidalo" and "Echa Pa' Pa"; "Lady Mambo" and "Me Voy Pa'
La Rumba" are all definitely great dancing numbers.
