Republique
Democratique Du Mambo (La Républica Démocratica Del Mambo) with 16 musicians from Cuba, Spain, France, Venezuela and Algeria
is the brain child of former musicians from French band 'Fatal Mambo' ("Rumbagitation" and "Fatal Mambo"), bass player José
Vicente and trumpet man Alain Henriot. "A Bailar... Que Ya Es Tiempo!!!"
shows their appreciation for the work of Tito Rodriguez,
Noro Morales, Beny Moré, Perez Prado, Tito Puente... the recording is well done, in tune with the 'big band' sounds from the
40s and 50s and the choice of numbers on this album are just great!
