"Siguiendo la Tradición" is a very percussive album with six instrumental compositions combining hard salsa and Latin jazz; led by Steve Guasch who plays bongo, maracas, congas and timbales and featuring Eddie Quintero and Danny Olaizola on vocals. With guest musician, Grammy award nominee and composer of salsa dura track "Aqui Te Traigo Sabrosura", Paoli Mejias on congas, timbales and shequere and ex-Cubanismo pianist Ignacio "Nachito" Herrera who composed "Haciendo Camino" who composed another . Ray Vega, plays trumpet and flugelhorn on "South Of The Boulevard" and "Softly (As In A Morning Sunrise)". Other musicians: Roberto Riveron, on bass; Julio Jáuregui, on piano and bass; Luis De Jesus, cuatro puertorriqueño & guitar; Andy Zadrozny, bass; Junior Medina, timbales; Rafael Quiñones, güiro; Randy Lintott, Ted Bowden, Thomas Marriott and Jay Roulston on trumpets; Ted Dortch on sax; Will Martin, Dan Marcus, Scott Babcock and Dave Marriott on trombones. Arrangements by Oscar Hernandez (Spanish Harlem), Ray Santos, Ignacio Herrera, Lee Bradford, Brett White, Paul Finley and Julio Jáuregui. (Luis Libres - MBS).
